This is Susan DuPre’ from Cornerstone Pres in Huntsville! Your mom and dad gifted me with a copy of your new book, and I am amazed at the Lord’s timing!
I was asked to speak at our ladies’ retreat on the topic of “Renew, Refresh, Revive,” and the points in your book were heavily overlapping with my own thoughts and with the points I intended to make in my talk.
I love the image that we have been given a purpose and a unique story by God to fit into His Big Story. Our story does not have to be one of selfish glory and gain, but one of humbling ourselves joyfully to pull others in, encouraging them to live out their God-given purposes and stories.
I don’t use the word “awesome” very often because I believe it should be reserved for the things and ways of our Awesome God, but seeing how He weaves these mini-stories together into one Big one is AWESOME!
I truly enjoyed reading your take on it all and was so encouraged to press on in my little, ordinary story that I purchased 4 more copies from your parents to give to my kids. 🙂 And now I am adding to my list of others whom I think would benefit from reading your book to gain the right perspective!
